Marianne Corvellec is a data scientist, software developer, and teacher. Her technical interests include data science workflows, data visualization, and best practices from testing to documenting. She holds a PhD in statistical physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon.
Since 2013, she has been a regular speaker and contributor in the Python, Carpentries, and FLOSS communities. Notably, she co-founded the PyLadies Montréal Meetup; she used to maintain Plotly's R API; she has promoted open science on various occasions.
She has worked with several startups (Plot.ly, 1science.com, PlanHub.ca, ... and now QuantStack). Marianne remained jobless for most of 2018, spending twelve weeks at the Recurse Center. She was thus able to carry out some independent research.
